	A. gambiae Gene Tool The VectorBase gene tool is a simple to use search tool for known or predicted A. gambiae genes. Users may search the database using partial or full gene name, description, Interpro description, AnoXcel protein description, GO term. Results include basic gene information (location & size), GO terms, orthologues, transcript structure,peptide biological and biochemical properties, gene expression profiles,in situ data, microsatellites, RAPDs,SNPs, and matching ETSs (from a >300K collection). Search Genes by Keyword You may query the database using a partial gene name or description. For example, if you are searching for lanb2 (LAMININ GAMMA 1 PRECURSOR) you may use la, b2, min, gamma, cursor, etc as the query criterion. This is a case insensitive search. Term:  •  in: All datasets Gene name (Known status) Gene description (Known status) Interpro desciption (Known status) Ensembl predicted gene Ensembl predicted gene description AnoXcel - Protein name Gene Ontology terms limit: 10 30 100 All Retrieve data by Gene ID Enter the numerical portion of the Ensembl Gene ID without leading zeroes. If you are searching for ENSANGG00000019060 you only need to fill in 19060. Enter Gene ID ENSANGG:  •  Retrieve data by Protein ID Enter the numerical portion of the Ensembl Protein ID without leading zeroes. If you are searching for ENSANGP00000017692 you only need to fill in 17692.
